Ben Wills takes the social media train to win the SEM Scholarship contest

Filed under: Uncategorized — David Temple @ 11:37 pm

Congratulations to Ben Wills,  winner of Marketing Pilgrim’s SEM Scholarship contest. After 4 weeks and 48 entries Ben was declared the winner of the $6,000 in prizes.  The final four contestants’ articles were reviewed by a panel of 9 judges who chose Ben Wills’ article “The Five Pillars of Social Media Marketing” from among the other four weekly winners. His 1,154 unique views are what gained his entry into the final four but his well written article about the power of social media is what impressed the judges.

Although I wasn’t a weekly winner one of the distinguished judges blogged “David Temple, I also enjoyed your post on education”.  That made it all worthwhile. Thanks to everyone that viewed my article, entered the contest, Andy Beal and all the judges for making this a excellent learning experience.  Let’s do it again!

Press release seo training class offered by SEO-PR in Chicago following SES

Filed under: SEM SEO Training — David Temple @ 2:25 am

SEO-PR along with Incisive Interactive Marketing announced they will offer a press release seo training class for public relations and search engine optimization professionals. The training class will be held on December 8, the day after Search Engine Strategies Conference winds up in Chicago. Greg Jarboe, SEO-PR president, will teach the class, which lasts for a half day, at the Hilton Chicago.

“The training classes are very different from the conference sessions at SES. The workshops provide in-depth training in a small class setting, which means instructors are readily accessible for informal one-on-one or small group discussions. The conference provides a unique setting to network with fellow marketers and search engine industry professionals to discuss the trends in search engine marketing. This combination provides a high impact learning environment.”
